Medicare beneficiaries frequently have questions about benefits, claims, and supplement policies (Medigap). Our mission is to provide clarity and support in an ever-changing environment and be a resource to the Medicare community.
The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) provides free help to New Jersey Medicare beneficiaries who have problems with or questions about their health insurance. SHIP is a statewide program administered by the New Jersey Department of Human Services and partly funded by a U.S. Administration for Community Living grant.
SAGE is a proud sponsoring organization for SHIP in Union County.
We are trained in health insurance coverage and benefits that affect Medicare beneficiaries and provide information and assistance for dealing with claims and evaluating health insurance options. REMINDER:
Medicare Open Enrollment is held annually between October 15th and December 7th for the following year's plan.
During this time, you can update your existing coverage for Plan C (Medicare Advantage Healthcare Plan) and Plan D (Medicare Prescription Drug Plan).
